i have a write a research paper on india, but it can be absolutely anything....





for example, a thesis directly related to the caste system, hinduism, independence etc...





what would be some really interesting topics do you think that arent overdone so much (like gandhi is so overused)

I believe an interesting topic for consideration would be the practice of suttee, the ritual suicide of widows by throwing themselves on their husband's funeral pyre. Although it has been outlawed in India there are still many women who are subjected to this practice. Explore the origination of suttee, why, when, who, what happens, and why. Look into the relationship between the widow and her in-laws. This is the key to the question. Good luck!
