Can any one give me an idea of a good research topic?

I am trying to research on a topic related to marketing, in particular consumer behaviour and culture. Can any one suggest an idea which is realted to the above two? for eg- i have three vey popular fast food joints close by- mcdonald's, kfc and burger king, can i find out something about them ???

You could look into whether or not the offering of healthier menu choices has led to a higher boost in profits, and if consumers are buying more of the healthy than the standby fast food.
Reply:I would write a research paper on how those fast food joints market, and how they advertise, and who they market to.





You could easily get a lot of information, and there are some good books on it as well, such as "fast food nation"
Reply:I would research how video game consumers have evolved from kids to adults.. remember kids that grew up playing atari and nintendo are now adults and are responsible for the success of modern game consoles like ps2 and xbox. there is a lot of information available on this topic and I can tell you that when video games first came out they where marketed to kids but now you see a shift and a lot of games are marketed to adults, why is that? I will tell you why, the reason is the same kids that played atari 30 years ago have grown up and they still enjoy gaming but they demand games that are more geared for adults and companies like sony and microsoft are aware of that and that is why they are so successful. I used to be a marketing rep for xbox and I learned alot about this topic. good luck
