Please can i be send recent research topics in biocemistry?

The division of Gene Technology and Applied Biochemistry was founded as one of seven divisions of the Institute of Chemical Engineering in 2002, and is responsible for teaching and research in the basic areas of applied biosciences, i..e. biochemistry and gene technology, particularly of microorganisms and plant with an industrial potential, biochemistry of plant secondary metabolism, antagonism of plant pathogenesis by organisms and molecules, use of DNA analysis for identification of microorganissm, and for studying biodiversity and evolution of fungi.





The division has been first established around the research group of Christian Kubicek in the former Institute of Biochemical Technology and Microbiology in 1986 (Division for Microbial Biochemistry), and after fusion of this institute in 2002 been complemented by the research group of Karl Stich from the former institute of Botany.





The Division of Gene Technology and Applied Biochemistry, with one full professor, two associate professors, two assistant professors, five post-docs and several PhD and diploma students is one of the largest and most active divisions of the Institute, which is also reflected in its strong involvement in teaching within the Bioscience topics.
