so it wont be long before you see them in iphones.

Reply:Integration of a CPU, and RAM memory within 1 chip. I see this as something coming, so why not write a paper on it. I'm not referring to the cache memory used with a CPU, but the external RAM that we now add to a mother board being incorporated with a CPU in the complete chip.
Reply:A good topic might on the design and use of accelerator chips. Accelerators are found in many applications now. The number of special accelerators for 3D graphics cards, network accelerators, video codec accelerators, GPS, and other areas is growing at the rapid rate. Some even think that this trend will lead to changes in CPU design.





If you like the RAM/CPU idea then a good twist on it is how it will never happen on a large scale. RAM processes have now diverged so far from logic processes in the last 3-5 years that except for very niche products it is far too expensive and impractical to do this.
