What are good research topics on effects on education of the children from broken family?
I did my master's thesis on foster care and special education student outcomes. If you want to see the impact of broken homes, research foster care. In order to get into foster homes, you must be abused and neglected by your family. Then the system fails to provide a real stable replacement. The outcomes in more abuse, unemployment, crime, homelessness, and failure to graduate are common to most foster children. All this because their first family was broken. The only success stories are those who have a family-type person who stays close and committed to the child through adulthood.
