What are some interesting research topics for a speach class?

It has to be 20 minutes long and I also have to write a paper on it. I would like to research about something that is not very debatable- my class is very opinionated and likes to argue, but I can't think of a topic that wouldn't put them to sleep. I would appreciate any good suggestions. Thanks!

You like sports? Do one on OJs new book. That is bound to get some discussion going.
Reply:Take non-personal issues from your life and talk about them. It's usually hard to discuss things that you can't relate to.

Reply:I would probably go with an oration on the nature of verbal communication. It is pretty debateable, but has the advantage of being the essence of the class' topic.
