What are some BORING research topics?

I have to write a research paper [again, for a different class], and I want to research something boring, because I don't really like my teacher. What are some boring research topics?

I already tried the history of grass, but I couldn't find anything.

Or maybe I could research something very liberal, considering my teacher is a huge republican.

What are some BORING research topics?
Are all grains of sand unique?

You could get a quantity of sand, photograph each grain, and print on separate pages a picture along with description (size, shape, colour) of each one and compare and contrast with all of the others.

You may be able to plot numerous graphs, piecharts etc to embellish the whole piece.

Could turn into a lifetime's work.
Reply:It's you who will suffer. YOU have to do the research not the teacher.

Choose something you can get best marks for.

The teacher will be marking to a criteria list, the subject matter will not impress.

On the other hand what about: Do teachers like the students they teach?

How to write Consistently Boring Scientific Literature

type in boring research and a lot of things come up
Reply:The similarities between Republicans and reptiles. Is it just the name or is there a big conspiracy? My bets are no.
Reply:A few ideas come to mind:

1. You could research the many types of ice.

2. Eleanor Roosevelt. So much has been written about her that anything more is ho-hum. Still, you could garner a good grade.

3. Soil. Actually, it's quite fascinating - but only to the very few who are interested.

3. Is your teacher squeamish? You could write about parasites.

4. The heartworm life cycle.

5. Instead of the history of grass, you could research the types of grass - you'll find tons of info. on that.

I like Georgie C's suggestion. I've seen a few sand collections - they're actually quite interesting:

Reply:Do a report on one of the Democratic candidates, or a past Democratic president who did great things. (That's subjective, I know, but you could really dress it up and make it sound like this president was so fabulous.)
